Christine Urquhart is a Stage Designer originally from the UK, first touching down in Brisbane two years ago. She worked with Queensland Theatre Company as a Props and Scenic artist and designed 'A Streetcar Named Desire' with Nash Theatre, before unwittingly getting onto Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre's radar. Since designing the reimagined Greek Tragedy 'Medea - the river runs backwards' she's found a new creative hub in Melbourne.
She designed a dance theatre piece 'Shift' with experimental performance company WRUFFnTUMBLE at the Collingwood Underground Theatre and 'The Parricide' at La Mama as part of the VCE drama and theatre studies list.
In design she has gone from quirky Opera interpretations (including a small show with The English National Opera in London) through to experimental physical theatre and independant writings. Her journey continues to New Zealand in September 2014.
