Missfits is an explosion of women oriented narrative.
Part stand-up comedy, part confessional, part feminist manifesto. Missfits challenges our concepts of 'normal' and provides a space for women to express and abandon through movement and humour. With the bathroom mirror as conduit, three women from the past reclaim their respective histories by haunting the present. Artists, puppeteers and engineers, these women weave their stories of forgiveness, retribution and longing through and within the reality of their contemporary peers.
A specifically female “history” is entirely unique and is still being pieced together, fractured, and re-told. As women and as storytellers, we are engaged in a constant gathering of scattered parts in order to authenticate our realities and find a new way forward.
