Transcribing her first great written work Santa is Funny at age 6, Cecelia has rarely been seen without a pen in hand or her nose in a book since. Experiencing her introduction to the theatre realm at a similarly tender age, she has performed in, collaborated on, written and directed a number of independent productions, beginning with Ignatians Youth Theatre from 1999 - 2005 and, most recently, during her time with Brisbane’s Underground Productions between July 2010 and November 2012.

 

Cecelia is currently studying a double degree in Gender, Sexuality and Diversity studies and Law at La Trobe University. Venturing to Melbourne to explore new academic and creative possibilities, she hopes to continue fusing a love of playwriting with her passionate investments in feminism, philosophy and critical theory.
